Who we are

This website is run by Harvest Bakery, Inc., a wholesale bakery at 865 Waverly Avenue, Holtsville, NY 11742. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Harvest Bakery, Inc.

This policy explains what information this website collects, why, where it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only.

What this website is

This website is a product catalog for trade buyers. You can browse our products, search the catalog, and send us a pricing request or a message. You cannot place an order, pay, or create an account on this website.

Information you send us

When you send a request through the form on our Contact page, we receive what you type into it. The form asks for your first name, last name, company and email address. You can also choose to give us your phone number, fax number and business address (street, city or town, state and ZIP code).

The form also records the page you sent it from and, if you came from a product page, which product or category you were asking about.

We only receive this information if you choose to fill in and send the form.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps a log of visits. A log entry can include your IP address, the date and time, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the type of browser and device you used. If you use the catalog search, the words you search for are sent to the site so it can show results, and they can appear in these logs.

We use these logs to keep the website running and secure. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

Spam check on the contact form

To block spam, our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. When the form loads, your browser connects to Cloudflare, which checks that you are a person and not an automated program. To do this, Cloudflare receives your IP address and some information about your browser and device. Cloudflare handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Map on the Contact page

Our Contact page has a map from Google Maps. The map does not load until you click "Show map". When you do, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies. The "Open in Google Maps" link takes you to Google's own website.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used, for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. When it is switched on, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, the time of your visit, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. Google processes this information for us. We use it in summary form, to improve the website, and not to identify you.

You can stop Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits by using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. The catalog itself does not use tracking cookies.

Outside services used on this website may set cookies: the spam check on the contact form, the map on the Contact page if you choose to show it, and Google Analytics when it is switched on. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The catalog still works without them.

What this website does not do

• It does not use advertising pixels or advertising cookies.
• It does not have a newsletter sign-up.
• It does not take orders or payments, so it does not collect payment card details.
• It does not have customer accounts or logins.
• It does not load fonts from outside services. The fonts are stored on our own site.
• We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

If any of this changes, we will update this policy first.

Why we use your information

• To answer your pricing request or message, and to follow up with you about it.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to block spam.
• To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
• To keep business records, and to meet any legal duty that applies to us.

Where your information is kept

Form entries are saved in the website's own database, on servers run by our web hosting provider. Backups of the website include these entries.

At present, form entries are stored in the website only. We plan to also have them delivered by email to our sales office. When that is set up, entries will also be held in a Harvest Bakery email inbox.

Who can see it

• Harvest Bakery staff who handle sales and customer inquiries.
• The companies that build, host, maintain and back up this website for us. They may see this information only as needed to do that work.
• Cloudflare, through the spam check, and Google, through the map and Google Analytics. They receive the technical information described above. They do not receive what you type into the form.
• Authorities or other parties, if the law requires us to share it.

How long we keep it

We keep form entries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our business records, and then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited time by our hosting provider.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information you sent through this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and tell us what you would like. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.

Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law.

Children

This website is for businesses and trade buyers. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to form entries is limited to the people described above. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not send us sensitive personal information through the form.

Changes to this policy

If we change what this website collects or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
